Fabinho is expected to return to full training this week in time for the Spurs game at the weekend.
His teammates Joel Matip and Xerdan Shaqiri have returned to full training this week.
Joel Matip has missed the last 19 games in all competitions since his last appearance in October having been the center-back partner for Virgil Van Dijk until that point.
The former Schalke 04 player faces a big battle to dislodge Joe Gomez as the centre back partner for Van Dijk as the pair have kept a clean sheet in each of the last five games in the league.
Xerdan Shaqiri has made just five appearances in the league this season due to various injury problems.
