Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has been rewarded with a new contract following the excellent start to the season in the Premier League.

Klopp has been given a two-year contract extension by the Liverpool owners after he led the club to a phenomenal run of 15 wins and one draw from 16 league matches this season.

The Reds are unbeaten in the last 33 games in the Premier League under the guidance of German tactician Klopp.

The last Premier League defeat suffered by Jurgen Klopp and Liverpool was on January 3 at the home of Premier League champions Manchester City.

The Merseysiders were beaten 2-1 by Manchester City at the start of this year and they have not tasted a league defeat since then.

Liverpool appointed Jurgen Klopp as their manager on October 8, 2015, and he went on to sign a six-year contract until 2022.

The club has moved to secure his future at the club for a further two years until 2024.

Klopp led Liverpool to the Champions League title last season after the win over Tottenham Hotspur in their final clash.

He followed that Champions League title with the European Super Cup triumph at the start of this season.

Klopp and Liverpool have an eight-point lead at the top of the Premier League.
