Manchester United attacker Marcus Rashford has set a new personal record for goals during the Carabao Cup quarterfinal clash with Colchester United from English League Two.

Marcus Rashford was amongst the goals for Manchester United who booked their place in the semifinals with an emphatic 3-0 win over their League Two opposition.

The England international was responsible for the first goal of the game on 51 minutes.

The strike took his tally to 14 goals in 23 games for Manchester United in all competitions this season thus making it his best goal return despite the fact that we’re yet to reach the midpoint of the season.

His previous best goal return was in the last two seasons when he scored 13 times.

Marcus Rashford scored 13 goals in 52 appearances for Manchester United during the 2017/18 season before hitting 13 goals in 47 appearances during the 2018/19 season.

After his goal on 51 minutes, opposition defender Ryan Jackson scored an own goal five minutes later to double the lead for Manchester United.

Anthony Martial made it three goals in ten minutes for his team as the Red Devils ran out as comfortable winners.

Manchester United were rewarded with a last four, two-legged tie with city rivals Manchester City for their win over Colchester United.
