Erling Haaland

West London giants Chelsea are one of the clubs interested in signing Red Bull Salzburg striker Erling Haaland during the upcoming January transfer window, but it seems the Blues will have to look for alternatives in their bid to bolster their squad with an attacker following the news that the player favors a move to Premier League rivals Manchester United.

Chelsea are overreliant on leading goalscorer Tammy Abraham with the way things have gone with the reigning Europa League champions this season.

Tammy Abraham has been the only Chelsea striker consistent with the goals this season as the backup options Olivier Giroud and Michy Batshuayi have failed to step up when needed.

One of the targets for Frank Lampard and his coaching crew is the signing of a new striker to backup the goals of first choice Tammy Abraham and Erling Haaland is said to be a strong option.

Tammy Abraham has scored 13 goals in all competitions for Chelsea this season upon his return from a loan spell at Aston Villa this season.

He has 11 Premier League goals which is only bettered by Leicester City striker Jamie Vardy who has scored five goals more than the Nigerian-born England international player.
