Though Manchester United have reportedly described the winter transfer market a tough period to get new players, the Red Devils are very much keen on signing one or two players, especially a striker.

British media outlet Manchester Evening News claimed that the Red Devils are uncertain over their chances of signing new players in January because top European clubs won’t be ready to release their players mid-way into the season.

Notwithstanding, the Premier League giants believe they are going all-out to complete the signing of one striker due to the unfavorable situation at Old Trafford.

The Red Devils have not been scoring goals since the start of this season and the board members have reportedly promised to get a new striker who will help solve Solskjaer’s problems at the final half of the pitch.

A deal for Mario Mandzukic’s services appeared to be done and dusted but waiting for an official announcement in January, that’s if reports making headline across England are something to rely on.

Meanwhile, the Red Devils are also set to make official bids for Borussia Dortmund’s winger Jadon Sancho and Leicester City’s attacking midfielder James Maddison.

It is, however, unknown if both clubs would risk losing the two influential players in the middle of the season.
