The Manchester United managerial job is being targeted by Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino according to experienced journalist Duncan Castles.

According to him via the Transfer Window Podcast, Mauricio Pochettino has set his sights on the Manchester United job having made up his mind to leave the Tottenham Hotspur job.

It was revealed that the former Espanyol and Southampton boss will leave Tottenham Hotspur no matter what happens this season.

Mauricio Pochettino is under serious pressure for the first time in his managerial career at Spurs after the recent results posted this season.

His team was knocked out of the Carabao Cup by fourth tier side Colchester United at the third round stage via penalties at the end of last month.

In addition, Spurs have not won away from home in the Premier League since January.

Tottenham Hotspur were beaten 7-2 at home by German champions Bayern Munich in their Champions League group stage clash earlier this month before losing 3-0 at the home of Brighton and Hove Albion.

At Manchester United, manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is also under severe pressure to achieve results after the worst start to a Premier League campaign.

Manchester United have won just two league games all season.
