Arsenal striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has been named the Premier League Player of the Month for September.

The Gabonese international won the award earlier on Friday thus becoming the second recipient of the award this season.

Norwich City striker Teemu Pukki is the first recipient of the award.

The Finnish international star was named the Premier League Player of the Month for August at the start of September.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang won the award after netting five goals in four games in the Premier League in the month of September.

The Gabonese striker started the month with a goal in the North London Derby as Arsenal came from two goals down to play a 2-2 draw at home to Tottenham Hotspur.

He went on to score twice for the Gunners in his second game of the month as his team lost a two-goal lead to play out a 2-2 draw at the home of Watford.

Arsenal star Aubameyang scored for the third time in a row as Aston Villa came twice from behind to beat the Midlands club 3-2 at home with ten men.

He then scored his fifth goal in four league games during the away game at Manchester United which ended in a 1-1 draw.
