Manchester United would be targeting the continuation of their winning run ahead of the Premier League clash with Everton who are still without a permanent manager.

The Red Devils have won their last three games in all competitions including the two successive league matches.

Manchester United ensured that they finished at the top of their group in the Europa League following the win over Dutch Eredivisie side AZ Alkmaar.

The Red Devils thrashed AZ Alkmaar 4-0 at home in their Group L Matchday Six clash as manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer used the opportunity to rest some key players.

Teenage striker Mason Greenwood scored twice for the Red Devils in addition to the other goals from Ashley Young and Juan Manuel Mata with all the goals coming in the second half.

Solskjaer had the luxury of resting players having sealed qualification for the knockout stage as early as Matchday Four.

Important players like Marcus Rashford, Daniel James, Scott McTominay and Aaron Wan-Bissaka were rested by Ole Gunnar Solskjaer for the AZ Alkmaar game.

Likely Manchester United XI vs Everton (4-3-3): David De Gea; Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Harry Maguire, Victor Lindelof, Luke Shaw; Scott McTominay, Fred, Jesse Lingard; Daniel James, Anthony Martial and Marcus Rashford.
