Premier League leaders Liverpool have the opportunity to extend their lead at the summit when they travel to take on out-of-form Bournemouth in a week 16 league clash.

Ahead of the home game with Liverpool, Bournemouth have lost their last four games in the league and they face a redhot side on a six-game winless run.

Liverpool are coming into the game on the back of the thumping win over Everton in the Merseyside Derby in midweek.

Everton were on the end of a 5-2 defeat at the hands of the reigning European Champions amd that led to the sack of their manager Marco Silva on Thursday evening.

For the Bournemouth game, Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp is expected to revert back to his usual starting XI after resting some players during the Merseyside clash with Everton at Anfield on Wednesday night.

Club skipper Jordan Henderson and Roberto Firmino came off the bench against Everton in midweek and are expected to return to the starting XI.

Mohamed Salah was completely rested on the bench for the Everton game and he’s expected to make the starting XI for the Bournemouth clash, while first choice goalkeeper Alisson Becker is back from a one-game suspension.

Likely Liverpool XI vs Bournemouth (4-3-3): Alisson Becker; Trent Alexander-Arnold, Virgil Van Dijk, Dejan Lovren, Andy Robertson; Georginio Wijnaldum, Jordan Henderson, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain; Sadio Mane, Mohamed Salah and Roberto Firmino.
