Six-time European champions Liverpool have joined the keenly contested race to sign French wonderkid Mathis Rayan Cherki who plays his club football for fellow Champions League campaigners Lyon.
According to 90min, Liverpool have joined two other Premier League sides in the quest to sign the 16-year-old attacker.
Apart from reigning European champions Liverpool, Premier League duo Manchester United and Manchester City are also keen on the Lyon FC of France player.
Cherki signed a professional contract at Lyon earlier this year upon breaking into the first team.
The young French player signed a three-year deal at Lyon until 2022 in what was his first professional contract.

He made his Lyon debut in the French Ligue 1 in October during the goalless draw at home to Dijon.
Rayan Cherki has impressed a great deal since making his debut for the first team under new manager Rudi Garcia who was appointed into the role in October as a direct replacement for Sylvinho who lost his job due to the poor start to the season.
He made his European debut for Lyon against Zenit Saint Petersburg of Russia in the Champions League.
Cherki was a 74th-minute substitute for Maxwell Cornet for the game which ended in a 2-0 loss for his team.
