Chelsea manager Frank Lampard has had his say on the disappointing result recorded during the London Derby meeting with West Ham United.

Lampard saw his team suffer their first league defeat at home this season via the 1-0 scoreline.

It was an easy-looking fixture for Lampard and Chelsea especially with the poor run of results from the Hammers prior to the game.

West Ham United were on the run of seven games without a win and that ended with a 1-0 victory at the home of London rivals Chelsea with left-back Aaron Cresswell getting the only goal of the game at the start of the second half.

Michael Antonio was preferred upfront for West Ham United ahead of summer signing Sebastian Haller, and the former Nottingham Forest attacker thought he had scored the second goal for his team only for his joy to be short-lived by VAR who ruled it out for handball in the buildup to the goal.

In his post-match reaction to the disappointing result, Frank Lampard told reporters that Chelsea didn’t play well and that they struggled to break down the much improved West Ham United defence.

Chelsea struggled to create clear-cut chances though in-form player Christian Pulisic wasted some opportunities either side of the halftime interval.

The Blues have now lost two straight games in the Premier League.
