It is no longer news that Arsenal have dismissed Unai Emery as manager following the recent poor run of results in all competitions (Premier League, Carabao Cup and the Europa League), but what’s new is the payoff for the Spanish tactician.

Unai Emery had few months left on the Arsenal contract that he signed last summer when he was appointed as the new Gunners boss and the Spaniard will be given a payoff after club bosses pulled the plug on his job as manager.

According to the Daily Mail, Unai Emery Will be given a payoff of £4m.

Unai Emery signed a two-year contract last summer with the option of a third year, but the former Almeria and Paris Saint Germain (PSG) manager was unable to finish the first two years.

In his first season, Unai Emery led Arsenal to fifth spot at the end of the Premier League season in addition to reaching the Europa League final.

Arsenal got to the Europa League final in impressive fashion before they were thrashed by London rivals Chelsea.

The Gunners were beaten 4-1 by Chelsea in their final clash in Baku, Azerbaijan.

Unai Emery led Arsenal to a run of seven matches without a win before his dismissal earlier this week.
