Arsenal fans have had their say on the three options to replace underfire manager Unai Emery in the Gunners’ dugout.

The Gunners Faithfuls polled 1,300 votes to choose their top three candidates to replace Unai Emery as the Arsenal manager.

The Arsenal fans voted on Football London to determine their managerial preferences for the Gunners dugout with former midfielder Mikel Arteta amassing almost one-third of the votes.

Mikel Arteta is the assistant manager to Pep Guardiola at Manchester City and the Spaniard is highly rated in the footballing world though he’s yet to handle a managerial job in his short career on the sidelines.

The former Arsenal and Everton midfielder was linked with the Gunners job last summer by Unai Emery but his compatriot has not been able to live up to the expectations from fans and club bosses.

Unai Emery signed a two-year contract when he became the Arsenal manager last summer with the option of a third year and it looks like this season would be the final campaign for the three-time Europa League winner at Arsenal.

Ex-Juventus boss Maximiliano Allegri resigned from the Old Lady job in the summer and he came second during the aforementioned polls with 17.5% of the votes ahead of Leicester City manager Brendan Rodgers who came third with 17.2% of the total votes.
