Kante A Doubt For Europa League Final vs Arsenal

Chelsea midfielder N’Golo Kante is a major doubt for the Blues ahead of their Europa League final clash with London rivals Arsenal.

Arsenal and Chelsea meet in the Europa League final scheduled to take place in Baku, Azerbaijan.

French World Cup winner Kante is likely to miss the game after he suffered a knee injury during training on Saturday.

The early prognosis from the Chelsea medical team suggests that the injury is a serious one.

N’Golo Kante had earlier suffered a hamstring injury at the start of the month during a league game at home to Watford.

The former Caen and Leicester City star went off injured during the first half of the Watford game which ended in a 3-0 win for the Blues.

In other Chelsea injury news, the Blues will miss out on the services of both English internationals Callum Hudson-Odoi and Ruben Loftus-Cheek will miss the Europa League final with respective Achilles problems while Antonio Rudiger will also miss the game with a knee injury.

For the Gunners, Spanish right-back Hector Bellerin and English defender Rob Holding will miss the game with respective knee injuries while Aaron Ramsey has a hamstring problem and will sit out the crucial game.

Armenian international Henrikh Mkhitaryan is not injured but he’ll miss the game for political reasons due to the conflict between his country and Azerbaijan.
