Premier League champions Manchester City continue to suffer key injuries in their quest to retain the league title they have won in each of the last two seasons.

The latest injury in the Manchester City ranks happened to star striker Sergio Aguero during the league game with Chelsea earlier this weekend.

Sergio Aguero suffered a muscular injury during the last quarter of the Chelsea game at the Etihad Stadium on Saturday evening.

On the injury, Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola hinted that it was a serious one though he didn’t put a timescale to it.

Guardiola spoke about Sergio Aguero during his post-match press conference after the 3-1 win over Chelsea.

Manchester City had earlier suffered two major injuries at the start of the season.

Influential defender Aymeric Laporte suffered a serious knee injury during the league game against Brighton and Hove Albion in August.

The Frenchman will be out of action till next year as a result of the injury.

Manchester City had earlier suffered a major injury when winger Leroy Sane sustained a serious knee injury during the Community Shield match with Liverpool in August.
