Underfire Arsenal manager Unai Emery has been advised on how he cam improve the form of the team.

Unai Emery was advised by Arsenal legend Robert Pires during an exclusive interview with The Athletic, a media publication based in the United States of America.

According to Robert Pires, the Arsenal manager should target the signing of experienced English players who know what it takes to perform consistently in the Premier League.

Defenders Rob Holding and Calum Chambers were the only English players in the Arsenal starting lineup from the last game, a 2-0 Premier League loss to Leicester City.

Arsenal have some young players in the first team like Reiss Nelson, Joe Willock, Emile Smith-Rowe and many more but ex-French international Pires is in favor of recruiting senior English players.

Robert Pires attained legendary status at Arsenal as part of the Invincibles that went through the entire Premier League campaign without a single loss.

Arsenal have struggled in the last four games in the Premier League and manager Unai Emery is under a lot of pressure.

The Gunners are yet to win in the Premier League in over a month dating back to the slim 1-0 win over Bournemouth at the start of last month.
