Euro 2020: Manchester United Academic Player Scores

Bournemouth striker Joshua King scored one of the goals as Norway finished their Euro 2020 qualifiers with an away win over Malta.

The Manchester United Academy player opened the scoring in the seventh minute before Ryan Fenech equalised for the hosts five minutes before the end of the first half.

Crystal Palace loanee Alexander Sorloth scored the second goal for Norway in the 62nd minute and that proved to be the winning goal of the game.

Alexander Sorloth is on loan at Turkish club Trabzonspor from South London outfit Crystal Palace having joined them in the summer.

Norway could have extended their lead but Joshua King was unable to convert a 67th minute penalty that would have given his team a more comfortable scoreline over hosts Malta.

Joshua King finished the qualifiers with five goals as he was the topscorer for the Norwegians.

Norway were unable to secure automatic qualification for Euro 2020 after they had to settle for third place in Group F behind leaders Spain and runners-up Sweden.

The Norwegians had 17 points from 10 games as they finished four points behind Sweden and nine points adrift of Group J leaders Spain.

Norway can still qualify for Euro 2020 through the playoffs in March.
