Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is still under pressure ahead of the Premier League trip to newcomers and highflyers Sheffield United.

Solskjaer and Manchester United started the season poorly by their standards but things have picked up for the three-time European champions with six wins from the last seven games in all competitions.

Despite the recent form, Solskjaer is still under the spotlight with Manchester United far from the top four at the moment.

Manchester United are in seventh position with 16 points from 12 points and they are behind opponents Sheffield United on the league table ahead of the game.

Sheffield United are the surprise package in the Premier League this season and they are in fifth position with 17 points.

Solskjaer has a selection headache in the midfield ahead of the away game at Sheffield United with Scott McTominay unavailable for the game.

Jesse Lingard is in line to replace him in midfield alongside regulars Fred and Andreas Pereira.

Scott McTominay has been the best player at Manchester United this season.

Likely Manchester United XI vs Sheffield United (4-3-3): David De Gea; Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Victor Lindelof, Harry Maguire, Ashley Young; Fred, Andreas Pereira, Jesse Lingard; Daniel James, Anthony Martial and Marcus Rashford.
