Former Premier League champions Leicester City and Chelsea have moved within five points of league leaders Liverpool after their respective wins on Saturday.

Leicester City and Chelsea got the better of London clubs Arsenal and Crystal Palace at home respectively.

In one of the week 12 games in the Premier League, Leicester City scored two second-half goals to secure a 2-0 win over Arsenal.

Jamie Vardy gave the Foxes the lead with a fine finish at the end of a flowing move before he provided the assist for the second goal scored by James Maddison.

Vardy has now scored nine goals in nine league starts against the Gunners who are one of his most favorite teams in the Premier League.

The retired England international is now the leading goalscorer with 11 league goals this season.

The result meant that Leicester City have now won their last four games in the league and also secured three wins from the last three home games against the Gunners.

Earlier, Chelsea got the better of fellow London rivals Crystal Palace courtesy the goals from Tammy Abraham and Christian Pulisic.

Chelsea have now won their last six games in the league.

With the respective wins, Leicester City and Chelsea have moved to within five points of leaders Liverpool.
