Vardy has now scored nine goals in nine league starts against the Gunners who are one of his most favorite teams in the Premier League.
The retired England international is now the leading goalscorer with 11 league goals this season.
The result meant that Leicester City have now won their last four games in the league and also secured three wins from the last three home games against the Gunners.
Earlier, Chelsea got the better of fellow London rivals Crystal Palace courtesy the goals from Tammy Abraham and Christian Pulisic.
Chelsea have now won their last six games in the league.
With the respective wins, Leicester City and Chelsea have moved to within five points of leaders Liverpool.
