Manchester United are set to miss out on the services of Aston Villa and Scotland midfielder John McGinn as reports suggested that the newly promoted Premier League side are unwilling to let go of the brilliant star.
United are being linked with the player’s services ahead of the winter transfer market, which is two months away, but Birmingham Mail claimed that the Villa Park outfits won’t listen to offers from all suitors before the start of next season.
McGinn, 25, has caught the eyes of Ole Solskjaer and former manager Alex Ferguson but the two United legends might fail to complete their desire to have the Scottish at Old Trafford in the next summer window.

McGinn is one of Aston Villa’s best players which is one of the reasons why the club are holding tight to his services.
However, the same report further revealed that Aston Villa could be forced to sell the experienced midfielder should they receive a tempting offer from the Norwegian tactician and his employers.
In other United transfer news, French midfielder Paul Pogba could be on his way to Santiago Bernabeu if United accept Zidane’s player-plus-cash offer.
The reports which emanated on Friday said that the Galacticos manager is ready to offer James Rodriguez as a makeshift for the Frenchman’s service in the next summer window.
Manchester United Shocked By Star Player Following His Contract Decision
Manchester United were onetime linked with Edwin van der Sar’s services as the next club’s Marketing Director but the Red Devils failed to get the Dutchman.
Despite revealing his desire to work at Old Trafford in the future, the former goalkeeper turned down Ed Woodward’s approach to concentrate on his career at Ajax.
The Red Devils reportedly monitoring Van der Sar’s contract issue with the Eredivisie giants as they hope to see him change his initial decision.
Unfortunately for the Red Devils, their former goaltender has finally put an end to the uncertainty surrounding his future at Ajax after signing a new four-year contract with the team on Friday.

Ajax surprised everyone during last season’s Champions League competition as they shockingly made it to the semi-final round, only to be defeated by Tottenham Hotspur.
They equally lifted their first Eredivisie title since 2014 to wrap up a wonderful campaign. Van der Sar promised to ensure that the club enjoy good fortune in all competitions this season.
Breaking! Why RB Leipzig Won’t Convince Timo Werner To Ignore Man United Bid
Manchester United speculated move for RB Leipzig striker Timo Werner has received a huge boost as Leipzig boss Julian Nagelsmann claimed he won’t stop the striker from leaving.
The RB Leipzig manager promised not to block Man United move for his most in-form player in January despite his desire to have the 23-year-old striker around beyond this season.
Nagelsmann tilde reporters that he will support the player’s decisions about his future even if it means losing him United or Liverpool.
According to the manager, he will advise the German star to consider his playing time and overall development while making a final decision as regards to his future.

Having spent three-and-a-half years at Leipzig, Werner’s immediate future has been one of the most trending topics among transfer pundits as Man United and Liverpool are very much keen on his signature.
The German has scored 76 goals in 130 matches for Leipzig, and the impressive goalscoring record has caught the attention of the two Premier League giants.
Despite Nagelsmann’s promise to let go of the player, RB Leipzig board members are unwilling to release the 23-year-old this summer because he recently extended his deal with them.
Man United manager Solskjaer will definitely be happy with Nagelsmann’s comments but he still faces stiff challenges from Liverpool and Leipzig’s hierarchy.
How Zidane’s Transfer Wish-list Could Affect Solskjaer’s Plans In January
Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane has finally made his transfer wish-list for the upcoming winter transfer window and the Frenchman has decided to launch another transfer bid for his longtime target Paul Pogba.
According to Tuttomercatoweb, the Galacticos manager is targeting five players with his countryman at the top of the list.
In the report, the former Juventus star is Zidane’s prime target while Christian Eriksen, Bruno Fernandez, Fabian Ruiz and Donny van de Beek are also included in the manager’s list of wanted players.
This means that Solskjaer could be forced to look for Paul Pogba’s replacement next year due to Zidane’s undying interest in the playmaker.

Having said that, Zidane’s speculated transfer list also boosted United’s hopes of signing James Rodriguez and Isco in January.
Tuttomercatoweb revealed that Zidane is willing to release both players to create space for incoming players.
The two attack-minded players aren’t rated by the French tactician and he’s ready to cash-in on their signatures.
James has always been linked with a switch to the Premier League giants, hence, this will serve as good news to the Red Devils board members.
As for Isco, it remains unknown if the Red Devils are willing to lure the Spaniard to the Theatre of Dreams.
Memphis Depay On His Way Back To Premier League?
Netherlands striker Memphis Depay could return to the Premier League in January, two years after leaving Manchester United for Lyon.
Memphis, 25, was known for his uninspiring performances during his time at the Theatre of Dreams and he was eventually released by the Premier League giants in 2017 after reaching an agreement with Ligue 1 side Lyon.
The Dutchman has been in an awe-inspiring form since his move to the French League and he has become a mainstay in Ronald Koeman’s Netherlands national team.
His quick return to form has attracted Mauricio Pochettino’s attention and the manager is reportedly ready to lure him to the Tottenham Stadium in January.

The Argentina tactician sent his scouts to run the rule over the striker during Lyon’s Champions League game against Benfica, and he is impressed with the feedback from his scouts.
According to The Mirror, Tottenham are likely to meet Lyon’s £50m price tag on the player’s signature as soon as the January transfer window commences.
The same source also revealed that the Red Devils stand a chance to re-sign the star striker based on the buy-back clause inserted in their transfer agreement with Lyon in 2017.
Meanwhile, the North London club are also said to be keeping a close watch on Depay’s teammate Moussa Dembele, who is one of Solskjaer’s prime targets in the upcoming transaction period.
Manchester United To Fortify Attack By Signing Wilfried Zaha
Manchester United attack appeared to have returned to top shape after scoring three goals against Partizan Belgrade during last week’s Europa League fixture but it remains to be seen if they can keep the tempo against Brighton later today.
Whether they maintain their newfound attacking prowess or not, Man United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is ready to add one or two attackers to his squad in January and he is being linked with Crystal Palace winger Wilfred Zaha.
Zaha, 26, joined the Red Devils in 2013 under Alex Ferguson but he had a forgettable spell at Old Trafford as he couldn’t force his way into Louis Van Gaal’s side.

The Ivorian eventually returned back to the Selhurst Park Stadium where he has become one of the best wingers in the country’s top-flight league.
The Red Devils are reportedly set to have the player at Old Trafford for the second time but they will need to release at least £70m for his services next summer.
Meanwhile, Arsenal are also set to reignite interest in the former England youth international when the next summer window opens.
The Gunners were heavily linked with zaha’s services prior to the start of the campaign but the Eagles successfully blocked every deal — including Everton’s offer — from materializing despite Zaha’s obvious desire to join the Gunners.
Man United To Reignite Interest In Ousmane Dembele and Samuel Umtiti
Barcelona are reportedly set to let go of their two players, Ousmane Dembele and Samuel Umtiti, in the summer as both players have fallen out of favor with Ernesto Valverde this season.
Dembele, 22, joined the Blaugranas from Borussia Dortmund in a huge transfer fee a few years back, but the young Frenchman has failed to justify his price tag.
In all fairness to the versatile youngster, injuries haven’t been fair with him as he has encountered more than three long-term injuries since he joined the team.
Just like Dembele, his compatriot Samuel Umtiti is equally an injury-prone defender which is one of the reasons he’s not getting the game-time he deserves at Camp Nou.

Reports from Spain via Liga-finance claimed that Barcelona are ready to let go of the two Frenchman as they have revealed their price tags.
It is believed that the Catalan club want interested suitors to pay nothing less than €120m for Dembele, while they hope to release Umtiti for €60m.
As much as Manchester United are desperately in search of more firepower at the final half of the pitch, I don’t see Ole Gunnar Solskjaer completing a transfer for Injury-prone Dembele except Barcelona lower their demand.
Having signed £80m-rated Harry Maguire from Leicester City last summer, it is very much impossible to see the Red Devils spend big on another defender in one year.
Manchester United set to lose out on Lukaku’s replacement in January
Manchester United could miss out on the services of Red Bull Salzburg striker Erling Haaland who is reportedly considering a move to Bundesliga side RB Leipzig in the immediate future.
The 19-year-old has been the most sought-after teenager in the world as 15 clubs are interested in capturing his signature after his brilliant goal-scoring feat for the Austrian side so far this season.
The youngster announced his presence in European competition when he scored a hat-trick in his Champions League debut in September, and he hasn’t looked back since then.

It’s no surprise that top clubs are showing interest in his services but the Red Devils are on the verge of losing the race to Bundesliga side in January, according to The Daily Mail.
Manchester City, Arsenal, Juventus, Liverpool, Barcelona and Real Madrid are all monitoring the Norwegian youngster but none of them are in a firm position to attract services in the summer.
However, it appears too early to suggest that the Red Devils did not stand a chance of luring the youngster to Old Trafford as RB Salzburg are yet to reveal if they will release him in January or not.
The Real Reason Barcelona Aim To Prevent Manchester United From Signing Kai Havertz Revealed
Manchester United have made an £80m transfer budget to sign Bayer Leverkusen midfielder Kai Havertz in the next transfer window as the Red Devils chief Ed Woodward is confident of bringing the German international to the Theatre of Dreams.
Unfortunately, latest reports have it that Barcelona are keenly interested in the player as they see him as the best replacement for out-of-favour Ivan Rakitic who is linked with a move to Manchester United.
According to reports making headline in Spain, the Blaugranas sent their scouts to run the rule over the player during Wednesday’s Champions League fixtures between Bayer Leverkusen and Atletico Madrid, and the were happy with his performances.

This means that the two European giants are set for a crunch battle for the 20-year-old midfielder and Barcelona are ready to launch an eye-catching bid which will be too hard to turn down by the Bundesliga side.
It is believed that Ole Gunnar and his employers are in talks with Havartz’s representatives over the possibility of beating Barcelona to his signature but they will have to wait till the end of the campaign.
Bayern Munich are also in the race for the player as they want to add more quality to their midfield setup following their unimpressive start to the season.
