Arsenal Set To Table £60m On Caglar Soyuncu

North London giants Arsenal are interested in a move for Leicester City defender Caglar Soyuncu.

According to controversial journalist IndyKaila, Arsenal are ready to spend as much as £60m on Caglar Soyuncu who has become a key player for Leicester City.

Arsenal passed up the opportunity to sign Turkish international centre back Caglar Soyuncu at the start of last season.

Caglar Soyuncu joined Leicester City from German Bundesliga side Freiburg last summer for a fee believed to be around £17m.

The exit of Harry Maguire to Manchester United has fast tracked Caglar Soyuncu’s route to the first team.

Harry Maguire left Leicester City for Manchester United in the summer for a world-record fee of £80m for a defender.

Caglar Soyuncu has formed a potent centre back partnership with Jonny Evans at the heart of the Leicester City defence.

The Turkish centre back scored his first goal in the colours of Leicester City during the last game in the Premier League.

Caglar Soyuncu scored one of the goals as Leicester City secured a 2-0 away win at London club Crystal Palace.

He opened the scoring at the start of the second half before in-form Jamie Vardy wrapped up the win in the last ten minutes.

Arsenal Finally Send Scouts To Watch Premier League Defender

North London giants Arsenal have sent scouts to watch Leicester City defender Caglar Soyuncu in action for his country Turkey during their latest Euro 2020 qualifiers.

According to the Daily Mirror, Arsenal scouts were in attendance during the Euro 2020 qualifier between hosts Turkey and Iceland in Group H.

Caglar Soyuncu helped Turkey keep a clean sheet in a goalless draw at home to Iceland.

The result was enough to take Turkey through to the tournament proper next summer.

Caglar Soyuncu was on for the entire duration of the game.

The Turkish defender has been able to form a solid centre back partnership with Jonny Evans at the soul of the Leicester City defence and he has attracted the interest of Arsenal.

His partnership with Northern Ireland international Evans has propelled Leicester City to second spot on the league table with the Foxes eight points off league leaders Liverpool in the race for the Premier League title.

Earlier reports had said that the Gunners want to spend as much as £60m on Caglar Soyuncu.

He has been one of the best centre back in the Premier League this season and he has been able to step up as the replacement for Harry Maguire at Leicester City after the England international left for Manchester United this summer.

Former Arsenal midfielder Santi Cazorla has scored his first goal for Spain in four years after he was on target during the 7-0 thumping of Malta in what was their last home as far as the Euro 2020 qualifiers are concerned.

The Villarreal midfielder has made a miraculous return to the pitch in the last one year as he was able to defeat the Achilles injury that threatened to end his career abruptly.

Atletico Madrid striker Alvaro Morata scored the first goal of the game for Spain before Cazorla added a second goal on 41 minutes to give his team a 2-0 lead at the halftime interval.

The second half saw Spain score five goals to make it a dominant scoreline.

The likes of Gerard Moreno, Dani Olmo, Jesus Navas, Pablo Sarabia and Pau Torres were all on the scoresheet.

Santi Cazorla played 53 minutes of the game before he was replaced by Borussia Dortmund striker Paco Alcacer.

The petite midfielder spent six years at Arsenal following his move from Spanish club Malaga in 2012.

He was a key player for the Gunners before injury struck towards the end of his Arsenal career.

Santi Cazorla left Arsenal at the end of his contract last summer before returning to former club Villarreal.

Arsenal midfielder Granit Xhaka was back in action for the first time since the fans faceoff at the Emirates Stadium but it was in the colours of his country Switzerland.

Granit Xhaka played the entire duration of the game as Switzerland took a big step towards qualifying for Euro 2020 with a priceless win over Georgia at home in Group D.

Switzerland beat Gerogia 1-0 at home courtesy the goal from second half substitute Cedric Itten.

The FC Basel of Switzerland midfielder scored the lone goal on 77 minutes almost immediately after he replaced West Ham United striker Alban Ajeti.

The win ensured that Switzerland are up to one place and into second position on the table with 14 points ahead of the Republic of Ireland (12 points) and behind group leaders Denmark (15 points).

A win over hosts Gibraltar in their last group match billed for Monday will definitely guarantee a place in the tournament proper next year.

Granit Xhaka has not played for Arsenal since his rant towards the club fans during the Premier League game at home to London rivals Crystal Palace.

Three European sides are reportedly keen on a January swoop for Arsenal midfielder Granit Xhaka.

This is according to the report from the Daily Mail which claimed that three clubs want to rescue Granit Xhaka from his nightmare at North London giants Arsenal.

The three European sides are German Bundesliga side Borussia Dortmund, Premier League outfit Newcastle United and seven-time European champions AC Milan.

Arsenal midfielder Granit Xhaka was named the club captain earlier this year after the votes from the players as conducted by manager Unai Emery.

The Swiss international had been acting as the club’s skipper since the exit of Laurent Koscielny in the summer before his appointment was confirmed in September.

His reign as the permanent Arsenal captain didn’t last long before Unai Emery removed him from the role on the back of his conduct towards the club’s fans during a recent league game.

Granit Xhaka used expletives against the fans while he was being subbed off for young Arsenal winger Bukayo Saka during the Premier League game at home to fellow London side Crystal Palace.

The incident overshadowed the game which ended in a 2-2 draw.

Xhaka has missed the last four games in all competitions for the Gunners as a result of the incident.

Premier League outfit Newcastle United are eyeing a loan swoop for Arsenal midfielder Granit Xhaka during the January transfer window.

According to The Times, the Magpies want to launch an ambitious loan bid for Swiss international Granit Xhaka.

The Arsenal midfielder was recently stripped off his role as skipper after his faceoff with the fans during the London Derby clash with Crystal Palace in the Premier League.

Manchester United are impressed with West Brom youngster Jovan Malcolm following his goalscoring exploits for the Baggies U18 side which have seen him scored seven goals in the five matches.

The highlight of his performance so far was when he scored four goals against Liverpool in one of the U18 Premier League fixtures.

It is believed that the highly-rated youngster is attracting Solskjaer’s attention but the Red Devils will need to contend with the Gunners for his services.

According to reports via The Mirror, the Gunners are keeping close tabs on the youngster as they look to upgrade their academy this summer.

Liverpool are also in the race to sign the player as he caught the club’s attention after scoring four goals against the young Reds.

The Merseyside club haven’t been enjoying much success when it comes to their youth teams but they hope things will change this season.

However, West Brom are reportedly doing everything possible to retain the 16-year-old beyond this campaign as they hope to give him some first-team actions next season if they return back to the country’s topflight League.
