North London giants Arsenal are interested in a move for Leicester City defender Caglar Soyuncu.

According to controversial journalist IndyKaila, Arsenal are ready to spend as much as £60m on Caglar Soyuncu who has become a key player for Leicester City.

Arsenal passed up the opportunity to sign Turkish international centre back Caglar Soyuncu at the start of last season.

Caglar Soyuncu joined Leicester City from German Bundesliga side Freiburg last summer for a fee believed to be around £17m.

The exit of Harry Maguire to Manchester United has fast tracked Caglar Soyuncu’s route to the first team.

Harry Maguire left Leicester City for Manchester United in the summer for a world-record fee of £80m for a defender.

Caglar Soyuncu has formed a potent centre back partnership with Jonny Evans at the heart of the Leicester City defence.

The Turkish centre back scored his first goal in the colours of Leicester City during the last game in the Premier League.

Caglar Soyuncu scored one of the goals as Leicester City secured a 2-0 away win at London club Crystal Palace.

He opened the scoring at the start of the second half before in-form Jamie Vardy wrapped up the win in the last ten minutes.
