Manchester United are reportedly preparing for a busy January transfer period as they have been linked with 37 players so far.
It is certain that the Old Trafford outfits can’t get all of the 37 players as other clubs won’t be ready to lose their important players in the middle of the season.
This is why we have come up with a list of top five players who Solskjaer must try to get during the fast-approaching winter transfer window. See the list below:
1. Timo Werner
The 23-year-old RB Leipzig player is arguably the most in-form striker in Europe having scored 13 goals and six assists from 15 matches in all competitions in the season.
2. Boubakary Soumare
If Pogba should leave the Old Trafford in January, this Lille’s 20-year-old midfielder must be drafted into Solskjaer’s starting lineup as his replacement.
The youngster has been impressive for Lille so far and he will definitely be a perfect man to partner either McTominay or Fred at the middle of the pitch.

3. Lautaro Martinez
The 22-year-old Argentine forward is seen as Romelu Lukaku’s replacement and he has been linked with a move to Old Trafford.
He appears as a better option than Mario Mandzukic due to his age and his strength to take on defenders.
Though, the Red Devils might need to spend big to get him because his current contract with Inter Milan runs till 2023 and the San Siro outfits will want to make huge profits from his sale.
4. Sandro Tonali
Tonali is another midfielder who should be given a chance to prove his worth at Old Trafford.
The 19-year-old holding midfielder has been in an awe-inspiring form for his Serie A side this season and top clubs are reportedly keeping close tabs on his development.
5. Paulo Dybala
The Argentina international was closed to joining Tottenham prior to the start of the season but the deal fell through.
United should move for his services in January as he seems unsettled at Juventus since Cristiano Ronaldo joined the Scuddeto Champions last season.
