Pique Reveals How Barcelona Players Tried To Aid Neymar’s Return

Barcelona defender Gerard Pique has revealed that the players tried to aid the return of Neymar to the club before the end of this summer’s transfer window last month.
In his latest interview with El Larguero, Gerard Pique talked about how the Barcelona players tried to alter their respective contracts to aid the possible transfer of Brazilian national team attacker Neymar from French giants Paris Saint Germain (PSG) to the Nou Camp giants.
Pique and some of his Barcelona colleagues wanted to help the club to stay within the financial fairplay rules and regulations by altering their contracts.
In the end, Barcelona were unsuccessful in their quest to bring Neymar back to the club.

PSG sporting director Leonardo confirmed that Barcelona made an offer for Neymar on August 27 and it was rejected.
Neymar is in his third season at PSG following his world-record transfer from Spanish champions Barcelona.
The Brazilian attacker wanted to leave PSG this summer but he was unable to get his wish.
Neymar joined Barcelona from Brazilian Serie A club Santos in the summer of 2013 and spent four years at the Nou Camp before his move to PSG two years ago.
The Brazilian attacker is currently injured.
