Manchester United are believed to be in the race for Tottenham midfielder Christian Eriksen in January due to the uncertainty surrounding Paul Pogba’s future at Old Trafford.
The Danish midfielder is in the final year of his contract with Tottenham and the Lilywhites are ready to cash-in on his signature to avoid losing him as a free agent.
Reports claimed that Mauricio Pochettino’s side have placed an inexpensive price tag of £20m on the player’s service in order to attract many suitors in the winter transfer market.
Despite the price tag, former Manchester United player Roy Keane has warned Solskjaer against completing his move for the Danish midfielder in January.
According to him while speaking to Sky Sports, United shouldn’t be too eager to lure the player to the Theatre of Dreams because he will end up leaving the Tottenham Stadium as a free agent.

“Not if I were the Manchester United manager, I think he will get a move, he’s on a free,”
He further stressed that Eriksen isn’t the solution to United’s problem because he doesn’t have the ability to improve the 20-time Premier League champions.
“But I don’t think he’d improve those teams and that’s the key for a club like Manchester United who are trying to close the gap.
“He won’t make Man United better, but having said that, Man United bought Fred.” he predicted.
Real Madrid are also said to be keeping close tabs on the player’s performance as they hope to launch a bid for his services.
