Manchester United youngster, Mason Greenwood, has broken his silence after signing a new four-year contract with the Red Devils on Friday.

The youngster, who has been with the club since his was six, was awarded a new contract for his brilliant start to his first-team career under Solskjaer this season.

Here is a full script of what he said to the club’s official website after putting pen to paper:

“Having grown up as a Manchester United fan, playing for the first team is a real dream come true. I know that, when I play for this club, I represent the whole Academy and I want to repay the faith that my coaches have shown in me with my performances on
the pitch.

“I am learning all the time from the manager and his coaching staff and I know that this is the perfect club to help me reach my potential.

This will come as good news to all United fans and their manager Solskjaer, who had no option but to run to the player for help when Martial and Rashford were out injured in September.

With two goals in nine matches, it obvious that the youngster is far from being a finished product yet. Nonetheless, he is a great talent United will be happy to nurture into one of the world’s best strikers in the nearest future.
