Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has provided the injury update on his best player.

Solskjaer gave an update on his star player during his pre-match reaction ahead of the tough Carabao Cup trip to Chelsea.

Last season’s finalists Chelsea host Manchester United at Stamford Bridge in the Carabao Cup fourth round tie scheduled to take place on Wednesday night.

French World Cup winner Paul Pogba is undoubtedly the star player at Manchester United but he has struggled to stay fit in recent weeks due to an ankle injury.

According to Solskjaer, Paul Pogba has suffered a setback in his recovery and that the Frenchman will spend the next one month off the pitch.

Pogba is not expected to return to full fitness until the end of next month at the very least.

He will definitely miss the Carabao Cup fourth round trip to Chelsea as a result of the aforementioned ankle injury.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and his players will be hoping for a repeat of the outcome between the two teams when they meet in the fifth round of the FA Cup earlier this year.

Ander Herrera and Paul Pogba scored for Manchester United in the first half as they won the game 2-0.
