Victor Osimhen

Lille and Super Eagles forward Victor Osimhen is fast becoming one of the most sought-after youngsters in Europe as top clubs are showing interest in his services following his bright start to the season.

The 20-year-old Nigeria international has found the back of the net on eight occasions in all competitions this season and his overall display hasn’t gone unnoticed by top European clubs including Barcelona and Manchester United who are said to be keeping close tabs on his performances.

Attracting interest from Barcelona and United is definitely a good omen for the young forward but he will surely find it hard to choose between the two football powerhouse, should Lille decide to release him in the next transfer window.

Choosing Barcelona ahead of the Old Trafford outfits will provide him the chance to play alongside one of the best player in the world, Lionel Messi, and he will definitely gain more experience and learn new skills from the iconic forward.

However, Osimhen could find it difficult to break into Valverde’s starting line-up anytime soon judging by the quality of strikers in the team. Luis Suarez is very much active for the Catalans and it seems impossible to see the manager drop the Uruguayan striker for the inexperienced youngster who is featuring in the Champions League for the first time in his career.

Summer signing Antoine Griezmann is equally in the competition for a place in the manager’s first XI and he is arguably untouchable in the team, especially now that he’s beginning to find his feet at Camp Nou.

At the other side of Manchester, Solskjaer can’t wait to have a constant goalscorer in his team ,hence, joining United at this period will be best for Osimhen as he will be given the opportunity to show his talent at the expense of inconsistent Marcus Rashford.

As it stands, The Red Devils seems to be the best destination for the young in-form striker as he will get quality game-time under Solskjaer as long as he maintains his goalscoring prowess.
