Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer won’t spend big during the next transfer window having spent huge in the summer.
The Red Devils completed three big-money signings in summer after spending a total of €159m(Transfer market) on ex-Leicester City defender Harry Maguire, Swansea midfielder Daniel James and Crystal Palace fullback Aaron Wan-Bissaka.
Solskjaer’s men are far from perfect despite the huge investment and their fans are beginning to eye another massive spending in January as they hope to see a proven goalscorer in the team.
However, the Red Devils aren’t ready to break the bank to sign any player in January as reports revealed that £9m-rated Mario Mandzukic is the only striker expected to join the Old Trafford outfits.
According to ESPN, the Croatian striker is the first striker in United’s wish-list and he could be the only striker who will join the team.
It is believed that the 20-time Premier League champions have reached a verbal agreement with the Turin outfits and the deal could be sealed as soon as the winter transfer window commences.
Meanwhile, Solskjaer is still in the race for youngster Sean Longstaff as the manager continues his search for Paul Pogba’s replacement.
The Frenchman faces an uncertain future at Old Trafford due to Madrid’s ever-growing interest in his services and the Norwegian is reportedly preparing for life without the World Cup winner.
