Premier League giants Manchester United are reportedly against the idea of welcoming back former striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic to the club when the transfer market opens again in the New Year.
This is according to the publication from the Telegraph which revealed that Manchester United have passed up the opportunity to sign Zlatan Ibrahimovic on a free transfer.
Zlatan Ibrahimovic plays his club football for Major League Soccer (MLS) side LA Galaxy at the moment having joined them from Manchester United at the start of last year.
The Swedish football legend scored 29 goals in 53 appearances in the colours of Manchester United for over two years before he moved to the United States.
His LA Galaxy contract will expire on December 2019 and the player has already talked about plying his trade in Europe again.
The former Inter Milan, AC Milan and Barcelona hitman has scored 30 goals in 29 appearances for LA Galaxy this season but his future is not yet clear.
Manchester United could certainly use some of his firepower in their attack with the club currently struggle to make a positive impact in the Premier League this season.
After the first eight games in the Premier League, Manchester United have one of the worst attacks in the division.
