Manchester United Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is tipped by bookmarkers as the next manager to be sacked by his employers’ bookmakers but former United star Dimitar Berbatov thinks otherwise.

The former striker believes the manager isn’t the only party who should be blamed for the club’s uninspiring performances this season and he shouldn’t be shown the exit door.

According to him, sacking the Norwegian boss isn’t the best solution to the unwanted situation at Old Trafford. Instead, the players and the board members should come together and provide a lasting solution.

“As I have said many times before, I will try to stay positive and support a manager that is in a tough situation because it is tough.”

“Before him, Mourinho, who had a similar team, had a hard time as well, so they need to constantly work and everybody needs to implement his ideas as a manager,”.

“Of course, it is far too easy to say ‘get rid of him’ like some people are saying because of the playing style and losing matches but is that going to help the team in any way, is a new manager, system of play, tactics going to help?”

“It is a very delicate situation and the easiest way is to say get rid of him but that’s not always the right way.” he concluded.

Solskjaer will be under intense pressure when his team face Liverpool at Old Trafford in their next Premier League fixture. The encounter is believed to be a make-or-break situation for the former Molde manager as reports claimed that he could be sacked if his team fail to get a positive result.
