Struggling Premier League giants Manchester United are not just hoping to turn their season around, their manager is also making a wishlist of players he would love to sign in the winter transfer market.
According to Goal, the Norwegian boss has included his compatriot Mathias Normann in the list of players he wants to work with in the second period of the campaign.
Normann, 23, is currently one of the best defensive midfielders in the Russian League having registered three assists and one goal to boost Rostov’s hopes of winning the league.
The former Brighton youngster worked with Solskjaer during their days at Molde and the manager is expected to explore his relationship with the player to lure him to Old Trafford.
United’s midfield setup obvious lacks quality since the departure of Ander Herrera — who joined PSG on a free transfer in the summer — as Matic and Fred are yet to live up to the hypes so far this season.
However, Solskjaer will need to beat Tottenham and Sevilla to the player’s signature as both clubs are monitoring his development with Rostov.
The media outlet also revealed that the youngster will cost the three clubs nothing less than £20m considering Rostov’s asking price.
