If recent reports are to be believed, Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer could lose his job in the event that his team loses to Liverpool in their next league game.

Solskjaer and his Manchester United players welcome Premier League table toppers Liverpool to the Theatre of Dreams next week Saturday in one of the games in week nine.

According to the specific publication from Metro, Manchester United won’t sack Solskjaer as their manager if he loses to Old foes Liverpool in their Premier League clash later this month.

It has been a contrasting start to the season for Liverpool and Manchester United in terms of results achieved in the Premier League this term.

Liverpool are the pacesetters in the Premier League at the moment with an eight-point lead over defending champions and title challengers Manchester City.

The Reds have won all their eight league games this season including the last-minute win over Leicester City last weekend.

On their part, Manchester United have won just two games all season and lost three games already despite the fact that we’re not at the quarter stage of the new league campaign.

Manchester United have recorded nine points from the maximum 24 points this term.
