Arsenal set to lose out to Juventus in the race to sign Russian star.
The Serie A champions are willing to cough up 13 million pounds plus add ons for Russia’s Aleksander Golovin.
The CSKA Moscow player starred for the Eastern Europeans in their 5-0 thumping of Saudi Arabia in the opening game of the Mundial slated in his native country.
Golovin, 22, notched up eight goals in 38 games for the Russian club last term and is regarded as arguably the country’s best prospect in recent times
And reports from the Daily Mirror claims Arsenal hold a long term interest in the winger and are potentially weighing up a bid for Golovin though Juventus have wasted no time in their late interest and appear set to complete a swoop for the fleet footed star.
The Turin outfit are keen on adding the player to their ranks and are reportedly willing to pay 13 million pounds fee coupled with additional add ons for Golovin’s signature but Gazzelo Deloo sports claims the Moscow outfit haven’t given the green light for the Serie A side to hold talks with Golovic’s representatives and are still holding out for a further 10 million.
Hence, the Gunners hopes in landing the star could be revived should Juventus refuse to meet his valuation which would leave the North London outfit in pole position to swoop in for the youngster.
