Manchester United are said to have drafted their transfer plans for the next transfer window despite the uncertainty surrounding Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s spell as United manager.
There have been reports that the Norwegian could be sacked sooner than expected due to continuous run of poor results.
Sack or no sack, highly-rated football site Goal.com reported the Red Devils already have their plans for the winter transfer window as they have shortlisted Napoli star Kalidou Koulibaly and West Ham Declan Rice as their prime target.
Declan Rice is seen as one of the best Premier League midfielders who can step into Paul Pogba’s shoe should the Frenchman decide to end ties with the Red Devils in January.
The 20-year-old is fast becoming a household name in the English first division based on his performances for the Hammer since the previous season.
The media outlet also revealed that the Red Devils are keen on Koulibaly’s services despite their inability to lure the Ivorian to the Theatre of Dreams during the summer window.
Though Solskjaer broke the club’s transfer record when he signed Harry Maguire from Leicester city prior to the start of the season, the Red Devils are far from being a strong force at the back of the pitch.
It is believed that the Old Trafford board members are now set to do the same with the Napoli defender who is valued at £90m by his Serie A side.
