Premier League leaders Liverpool have designed special programmes for two of their best players ahead of the crunch game with rivals Manchester United.

Liverpool will be the guests of Manchester United in a week nine Premier League game scheduled to take place at Old Trafford next Saturday.

The game comes immediately after the international break.

Liverpool have designed special programmes for Mohamed Salah and Alisson Becker to get them to full fitness for the Manchester United game.

Egyptian international Salah was excused from national team duty earlier this month only for him to pick up an ankle injury during the Premier League win over Leicester City last weekend.

Salah was on the receiving end of a crude tackle from Leicester City midfielder Hamza Choudhury.

The Egyptian attacker was in Abu Dhabi earlier this week to collect his GQ Man of the Year Award and he will spend some days in his native country before returning to a special fitness programme at Liverpool at the end of this week.

For Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson Becker, the Brazilian international goalkeeper is recovering from the injury he sustained on the opening day of the Premier League and he has given up his one-week break to work on a fitness programme to make sure that he’s fit for the Manchester United game.

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp gave his players this week off but Alisson Becker has stayed back to work on his fitness.

In his absence, deputy Adrian has been in goal for Liverpool.
