The 1-0 loss to Newcastle United at St. James Park on Sunday was the third loss suffered by Manchester United this season.
Premier League debutant Matty Longstaff scored the only goal of the game in the second half to hand the Magpies the three points at stake.
It was the second win of the season for Newcastle United.
Manchester United have nine points from the first eight games in the Premier League this season and they are just two points ahead of the bottom three on the table.
Their next league game is a big clash at home to rivals Liverpool.
