Arsenal striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is not a big fan of the much-publicised VAR Technology.
His position on VAR was established during his interview with popular English media channel Sky Sports on Monday night short after his controversial goal won Arsenal a point during their Premier League clash with top four rivals Manchester United at Old Trafford.
Aubameyang had to wait for VAR to confirm his equalizer for the Gunners in the second half of the game at the Theatre of Dreams.
After the game, Aubameyang said VAR takes the joy out of scoring.
He was flagged up for offside incorrectly by an overzealous assistant referee Scott Ledger but credit to him as he pressed on to dink the ball over Manchester United shot stopper David De Gea and into the back of the net.
The goal was given by centre referee Kevin Friend on the back of the check from VAR.
The goal was his seventh of the season in the Premier League and it also took his overall tally to eight goals for the new campaign.
He canceled out the first half strike from Manchester United midfielder Scott McTominay to rescue a point for his team thus taking them to fourth spot on the league table.
Arsenal might have “agreed” Partey deal with Torreira talks
A lot of issues have been unfolding in Arsenal’s bid to get rid of some players and bring in new faces so as to stabilize the team to face the season’s challenge after two Premier League games.
It is understood that Spanish La Liga outfit Atletico Madrid are keen on the signature of Arsenal midfielder Lucas Torreira and to get him, Thomas Partey who is a top target for the Gunners will have to head in the other direction.
An attempt by the Spanish La Liga team to offer a loan deal to the North London outfit for the service of the Uruguay international failed as a permanent buy is the only option for Arsenal.

However, El Gol Digital reports that Atletico Madrid are keen on Lucas Torreira and cannot meet the financial implication. The only option is to let go of Thomas Partey to the Emirates Stadium.
It is understood that Thomas Partey is also keen on a move to the Arsenal and with the latest development; it could just be a deal for the two clubs to strike in the coming days.
Lucas Torreira was on the radar of a number of clubs, including Torino and Fiorentina but the two Serie A clubs might have been stepped backward in the race for him with Atletico Madrid now leading.
Sokratis Papa’s move to Napoli attached to one condition
The first player to have been allegedly told by manager Mikel Arteta to leave Arsenal this summer window because he is not in the plans for the new season is Sokratis Papa but he is yet to find his way out.
Sokratis Papa has been linked with a move to Italian Serie A outfit Napoli with claims that personal terms have been agreed with the player but Napoli are yet to make steps into finalizing the deal.
It is, therefore, reported by Italian outlet Corriere dello Sport, that the Naples team will not complete a move for Sokratis Papa if they are unable to sell Kalidou Koulibaly as expected.

Both Man United and Man City have indicated an interest in Kalidou Koulibaly with speculations that there could be an agreement for personal terms between the player and the Pep Guardiola team.
However, a deal is yet to fall in place as Man City and Man United have not met the £70 million valuation for Kalidou Koulibaly which makes a deal far from being agreed upon. Napoli have also made it clear that they will not be coming down on the price.
The development means Sokratios Papa will have to wait until Napoli gets sorted with Kalidou Koulibaly’s move or seek other options before the end of the summer transfer window.
Why Ozil holds the key to Aouar’s deal
Arsenal outcast Mesut Ozil has been mentioned again as the North London club continues to struggle in their bid to land Lyon star Houssem Aouar this summer transfer window.
Houssem Aouar is a top target for Arsenal and there have been efforts to snap him up but his £60 million tag has been standing in the way for the North London outfit.
According to Caught Offside, Arsenal’s chances of landing Houssem Aouar this summer transfer window lie in their ability to convince Mesut Ozil out of the club.

With Ozil being out of the team for the past months and yet to feature in any game since the season started, selling him will help the North London outfit cash in some reasonable funds.
Also, taking the German international al off their books will help to reduce the financial burden on the club to be able to accommodate other players with top quality like Houssem Aouar.
Howbeit, it has been a difficult task for the Gunners to convince Mesut Ozil about his future at the club. He is reported to have turned down offers from top teams to be able to see out his current contract with Arsenal.
With about 12 months left to the end of his contract, Arsenal could lose Mesut Ozil for free.
Transfer: Wolves send clear Maitland-Niles message
Wolves have made it clear that they are no longer moving for the signature of Arsenal youngster Ainsley Maitland-Niles by agreeing on a deal with Barcelona for right-back Nelson Semedo.
This development remains a clear message that Arsenal are not willing to let go of Ainsley Maitland-Niles and Wolves will not be insisting on the deal.
Wolves will expect that they seal the deal for Nelson Semedo before the end of the summer transfer window as they seek to change the narrative in the Premier League this season.

Ainsley Maitland-Niles has risen to be one of the favourites on the books of manager Mikel Arteta. After paying off the faith in him with an eye-catching performance against Liverpool in the Community Shield, he was given the nod in Arsenal’s Premier League opener against Fulham to continue his good form but stayed put on the bench in the West Ham United win at the weekend.
Hoping that West Ham United will complete the signing of the Barcelona star, it is expected that there will be no pressure on Ainsley Maitland-Niles in deciding if he should stay with Arsenal or not.
However, Ainsley Maitland-Niles will form a major part of the Mikel Arteta team this season knowing that he has the quality to play in a number of roles as a utility player.
Arsenal join English clubs in race for Reading youngster
English Premier League club Arsenal are reported to have joined a host of clubs for the signature of Reading youngster Michael Olise having attracted interest with his eye-catching performance.
Michael Olise was a revelation for reading in the last campaign. His performance did not go unnoticed and that has continued this term as he has featured in the games so far.
Wolves and Leeds United are the two clubs the North London outfit will have to battle with for the signature of the 18-year-old as they are believed to be in the front row.

There is no doubt that Michael Olise has been pencilled down as a player for the future at the Emirates Stadium and will, therefore, begin with the youth team before finding his feet in the first team.
There is a lot of competition in the Mikel Arteta team at the moment which makes it difficult for younger players to make the starting eleven. This is the same reason why the Spanish boss has not played William Saliba so far this season.
Mikel Arteta is of the opinion that William Saliba still has a lot to do in adapting with the way of playing at the Emirates Stadium, the rhythm, as well as the physicality.
Report: Newcastle, Arsenal Hoping To Sign Georginio Rutter

Newcastle United have spent some money this summer and it’s unlikely that club owner Mike Ashley will spend €10m on a player who has one year to go on his existing deal at Rennes.
The Magpies spent £20m on England international Callum Wilson who joined the club from Bournemouth.
The Cherries suffered relegation from the Premier League last season and Callum Wilson had to move on.
He has linked up with Ryan Fraser at Newcastle United after the Scottish international signed on a free transfer.
Ryan Fraser had left Bournemouth earlier this summer at the end of his contract with the Cherries.
Arsenal’s Sokratis To Napoli If Man City Sign Defender
Arsenal defender Sokratis Papasthathopoulos has an agreement in place to sign for Italian Serie A side Napoli but that’s dependent on one condition according to Corriere dello Sport.
The Gunners centre back will join Napoli if the Italians are able to sell Senegalese international Kalidou Koulibaly to Manchester City.
Kalidou Koulibaly is widely regarded as one of the best central defenders in European football and a lot of teams were keen to sign him in previous transfer windows but Napoli didn’t want to lose his services.

Napoli have made up their mind to sell the centre back but the interest in his services has waned in comparison to the other transfer markets.
Manchester City and Manchester United are the only clubs trying to sign him and the 29-year-old defender is not a priority for the latter.
Manchester United want to sign a centre back but they have more pressing positions to strengthen. The Red Devils have positions like left-back and right-wing forward to strengthen before thinking about the centre back position.
For Manchester City, they have not been able to find an agreement with Napoli. The two clubs have a transfer history after Napoli sold Chelsea midfielder to the Blues in 2018 despite having an agreement with Manchester City.
Sokratis Papasthathopoulos has less than a year on his Gunners contract and the North London giants will want to recoup some of the £17.6m spent on him.
Arsenal ‘Agree On Deal’ With Atletico Madrid For Lucas Torreira
Arsenal midfielder Lucas Torreira could be on his way to Atletico Madrid as per the reports in some media outlets and top Gunners target Thomas Partey might move in the opposite direction.
The Daily Star claimed that Atletico Madrid have moved ahead of the Italian duo of Torino and Fiorentina in the race to sign Uruguayan international Torreira.
Atletico Madrid manager Diego Simeone is said to be a big fan of the battling midfielder and that he’s keen to add him to the playing squad at the new Wanda Metropolitano.

El Gol Digital stated that Diego Simeone and Atletico Madrid need to sell some players to wrap up a transfer for the aforementioned Lucas Torreira and this is where the Gunners’ interest in Thomas Partey could be advantageous.
Arsenal and Atletico Madrid could do a swap deal involving the two players, Thomas Partey and Lucas Torreira though the Gunners will have to offer money in addition to Torreira for Ghanaian international Partey.
Torino and Fiorentina are only interested in a loan deal for Lucas Torreira and that has paved the way for Atletico Madrid to usurp them.
Lucas Torreira has barely featured under Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta who assumed his position in December 2019.
