Premier League: Chelsea Boss Reveals Designated Penalty Taker

Chelsea manager Frank Lampard has revealed the designated penalty taker for his team shortly after the win over Brighton and Hove Albion in their Premier League clash at Stamford Bridge on Saturday.

In his post-match press conference after the game, Frank Lampard said that his new penalty taker is Italian international midfielder Jorginho.

The Chelsea boss had earlier said that England international star Ross Barkley is the designated penalty taker for the West London giants but that has changed as confirmed by Frank Lampard himself.

The former Blues midfielder was quizzed by reporters after Jorginho took the penalty awarded to Chelsea during the league game at home to Brighton on Saturday.

Jorginho took the penalty ahead of Ross Barkley and that led to the question of the designated penalty taker during Frank Lampard’s post-match press conference.

Chelsea were frustrated by Brighton during the first half of their encounter on Saturday afternoon as both teams played out a goalless draw.

The Blues broke the deadlock at the start of the second half through the spot kick from Jogging after Mason Mount was brought down by Brighton defender Adam Webster.

Willian scored a second Chelsea goal later in the second half to wrap up the win over the Seagulls.
