Though Manchester United goalkeeper David De Gea recently signed a new contract, he could be heading out of Old Trafford sooner than expected as Real Madrid are reportedly set to launch a bid for his services.
Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane has been a great admirer of the Spanish international but his unrelenting efforts to capture the goalie in previous transfer windows were fruitless.
Though the three-time Champions League winners signed Thibaut Courtois from Chelsea last season, they are very much keen on signing De Gea due to Courtois’ unimpressive display at the back.

The Belgium international is yet to justify his price tag since his move to the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium and Zidane is reportedly willing to make De Gea his first-choice goalkeeper should he successfully snatch the Spaniard off Solskjaer’s watch.
However, It is very unlikely to see the Spanish goalie depart Old Trafford anytime soon considering he just extended his deal with the Red Devils.
Meanwhile, United’s English star Jesse Lingard is set to miss out on the action when United tackle Newcastle in Premier League’s week eight fixture due to injury.
The midfielder suffered a hamstring injury in yesterday’s goalless draw with AZ Alkmaar and he’s expected to spend some weeks in the recuperating room.
