Manchester United shot stopper David De Gea will be the highest-paid goalkeeper in world football when he pens a new contract at the club.
According to the Birmingham Mail, David De Gea is set to sign a contract extension to ward off the uncertainty about his future as a Manchester United player.
It was revealed that 28-year-old Spanish international shot stopper will sign a new six-year contract until the end of the 2024/25 season.
David De Gea will earn £375,000 on a weekly basis after the new contract.

It was imperative that Manchester United get David De Gea to sign a new deal this summer since he has one year left on his current contract at the Theatre of Dreams.
Manchester United needed him to sign a new contract or risk losing for nothing next summer when his contract will expire.
The Red Devils had to sell him during this transfer window if they are unable to get him to sign a new contract but all of that won’t be needed after an agreement for a new deal was reached between the two parties (Manchester United and David De Gea).
He has been linked with other clubs like Juventus and Paris Saint Germain (PSG) this summer.
