Chelsea midfielder Ruben Loftus-Cheek has agreed on a new contract with the club and an official announcement is expected soonest.

The 23-year-old England international star has two years left on his current deal at Stamford Bridge and the West Londoners have moved to secure his long-term future at the club.

The 23-year-old stayed at Chelsea after the tournament and he went on to score 10 goals in 40 appearances.

Loftus-Cheek also added five assists as Chelsea win the Europa League title via a 4-1 win over London rivals Arsenal.

The England international midfielder will earn £150,000 on a weekly basis for the new contract agreed with Chelsea.

The said five-year contract is expected to run until the end of the 2023/24 season.
