Newcastle United are struggling in the Premier League under new manager Steve Bruce and they will host Manchester United in a week eight league clash billed for St. James Park on Sunday.
Paul Pogba is expected to miss the trip to Newcastle United with the same ankle injury that saw him miss the Europa League meeting between Dutch top flight outfit AZ Alkmaar and Manchester United.

The French World Cup winner was a notable absentee as Manchester United played out a drab draw in their away game at AZ Alkmaar in their second game in the Europa League this season.
Paul Pogba aggravated the ankle injury that saw him miss a month of football action during his return to the team in the Carabao Cup last week.
He played the entire duration of the Carabao Cup third round penalty home win over League One side Rochdale last week Wednesday and went on to recover from a swollen ankle to play the league game at home to Arsenal on Monday night.
Pogba was a doubt for the Arsenal game but he was able to recover to take his place in the Manchester United starting XI.
