Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will be targeting a return to winning ways ahead of the Europa League clash at Dutch club AZ Alkmaar.

It is one of the earliest games on Matchday 2 of this year’s competition.

Solskjaer and his players have not won a game since the Europa League Matchday 1 victory over Astana FC of Kazakhstan.

Young Manchester United striker Mason Greenwood scored the only goal of the game in the second half to give the Red Devils a win in their Europa League opener for this season.

Since the win over Astana, Manchester United have played three games without a victory.

Manchester United suffered a defeat to London club West Ham United in their Premier League clash shortly after the Astana game.

The Hammers won 2-0 at home courtesy the goals from Andriy Yarmolenko and Aaron Cresswell.

Manchester United then played a 1-1 draw with League One side Rochdale at home in the Carabao Cup third round after ninety minutes before the Red Devils triumphed on penalties to book a fourth round trip to Chelsea.

The Red Devils played out a 1-1 draw in their last game against Arsenal in the Premier League.

Manchester United XI: Sergio Romero; Ashley Young, Axel Tuanzebe, Victor Lindelof, Marcos Rojo; Nemanja Matic, Fred, Juan Manuel Mata; Mason Greenwood, Marcus Rashford and Daniel James.
