The Netherlands U21 star has featured in just one Premier League game this season and he is yet to convince Solskjaer of his ability to score goals.
According to the Daily Mail on Monday, Eredivisie side PSV Eindhoven is considering reaching a loan deal with United for the winger in January.
He will hope to feature against Alkmaar at the AFAS Stadion on Thursday.
