Manchester United are yet to give up on their desire to have Tottenham star Christian Eriksen in their team before the end of the 2019-20 season.

The Danish playmaker was heavily linked with a move out of Tottenham during the summer transfer window as Real Madrid were keenly interested in his services.

Manchester United also joined the Santiago Bernabeu outfit in the race for the 27-year-old a week to the end of the previous window, but none of the two European giants was able to lure him out of Pochettino’s watch.

However, United manager Solskjaer is reportedly set to reignite interest in Eriksen and he could make the player his prime target in January.

According to the Metro, the Norwegian is a longtime admirer of the 27-year-old star and he wants to have him in his team to enhance his team’s creativity at the middle of the pitch.

The Dane has less than a year left in his contract with Lilywhites, hence, Pochettino could be forced to release him in January to avoid losing him as a free agent by the end of the campaign.

70m-rated Eriksen will be a perfect addition to Solskjaer’s side who desperately need a creative and proven goalscorer.

His addition could also be the end of Paul Pogba’s spell at Old Trafford as the Frenchman is keen on leaving the Old Trafford outfit in the next transfer period.
