Chelsea manager Frank Lampard won his first game at home as the Blues boss following the straightforward win over Brighton and Hove Albion on Saturday.

Lampard and Chelsea played hosts to Brighton and it was the home side who triumphed at the end of the week seven encounter at Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea had failed to win their first three games at home in the Premier League under the guidance of Frank Lampard before the game against Brighton.

Lampard had previously led Chelsea to two draws and one loss before the home game against the Seagulls.

Chelsea started their home campaign in the league with a 1-1 draw with Leicester City before they were forced to a 2-2 draw by newly promoted side Sheffield United who came from two goals down to earn a share of the spoils.

Chelsea lost 2-1 to league leaders Liverpool in their last home game in the Premier League.

The Blues initially struggled to break down the Seagulls as they had 17 shots in the first half without any end product.

The situation changed at the start of the second half when Ross Barkley was brought down in the box and Italian international Jorginho converted the penalty to give Chelsea the lead.

Willian wrapped up the easy win with his strike towards the end of the game.
