Arsenal manager Unai Emery singled out one of his players for praise after the Carabao Cup third round clash at home to English Championship club Nottingham Forest.

The Spanish tactician was full of praise for young English centre back Rob Holding who made his return to the Arsenal squad for the Nottingham Forest game at the Emirates Stadium on Tuesday night.

Arsenal thrashed Nottingham Forest 5-0 in their third round clash thereby securing a berth in the fourth round of the competition.

Rob Holding has been out of the Arsenal team since he suffered a serious knee injury in December of last year.

He sustained a serious knee injury during a collision with Manchester United striker Marcus Rashford.

Rob Holding started the Nottingham Forest game on Tuesday night as his first Arsenal game in nine months.

He made a scoring return to the team after netting the second goal of the game with a header off the corner kick from Reiss Nelson.

Arsenal had taken the lead through the Gabriel Martinelli in the first half.

Joe Willock, Reiss Nelson and Gabriel Martinelli scored after Holding’s header to make it a comprehensive 5-0 victory for the Gunners.
