Leroy Sane and Manchester City were dealt a big injury blow after the German international winger sustained a serious knee injury.
Sane injured his anterior cruciate ligaments during the Community Shield clash between Manchester City and Liverpool.
Despite his injury, Manchester City were able to win the Community Shield via a 5-4 victory in the shootout after both teams had played out a 1-1 draw.

Guardiola and Manchester City wanted trusted doctor Ramon Cugat to carry out the knee operation on the 23-year-old only for the player to opt for Austrian doctor Professor Christian Fink.
Ramon Cugat is a known face at Manchester City having operated on the likes of French defender Benjamin Mendy and Belgian international playmaker Kevin De Bruyne in the past.
The decision made by Leroy Sane has left ex-Barcelona and Bayern Munich manager Guardiola infuriated according to the aforementioned publication.
Sane is expected to be out of action until next year as a result of the knee injury sustained during the Liverpool game.
