2012 champions Chelsea have received a big injury boost ahead of their opening game in the Champions League group stage this season.

Chelsea host Valencia at Stamford Bridge on Tuesday night and they could have star midfielder N’Golo Kante for the game.

French international Kante is back in training to hand Chelsea a timely boost ahead of the Group H clash.

N’Golo Kante has missed the last three games in the Premier League because of a persistent ankle injury.

He was absent for the game between Chelsea and newly promoted side Norwich City which ended in a 3-2 away win for his team.

Kante also missed the disappointing 2-2 home draw with another newly promoted team Sheffield United.

The Frenchman was absent for the Wolves game at the weekend as Chelsea ran riot against their hosts.

Chelsea beat Wolves 5-2 in the week five clash in the Premier League to push the Midlands club into the relegation zone.

Nigerian-born England international Tammy Abraham was the star of the game for the Blues after he scored three goals to take his league rally to seven this season.

The 21-year-old is the joint topscorer alongside Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero.

Fikayo Tomori and Mason Mount scored the other goals for Chelsea.
