The English national team are preparing for two important games in other to qualify, The Three Lions are set to be in action today for the qualifying round. Theys will play against Bulgaria later today (Saturday) before hosting Kosovo in England.

Ahead of the match, Gareth Southgate has issued his players’ a very serious warning. The 49-year-old manager has been performing well since taking over from a once underperforming nation team side.

Gareth Southgate will be aiming to guide his English team to win a trophy and he has publicly reminded his players that he will be ruthless if they fail to impress, He went ahead to threaten to axe any player who puts in low performance.

Gareth Southgate said:

“There can’t be a session where, at any point, any of the players switch off otherwise we can bring others in,” said Southgate (as per the Daily Mail).

“If at any point we think we’re getting carried away with where we are then that would be dangerous. I think at the moment, we’ve got lots of really close calls next summer.”

Gareth Southgate team are favorites to win the group stage. We predict that their closest rivals will be the Czech Republic, who also have won two games out of two.

Gareth Southgate was quoted as saying “we can bring others in” – England are currently blessed with the likes of Mason Mount and Tammy Abraham.
